Origin Story + Personal Branding

Personal branding has picked up steam in the last decade or so. Social media, digital marketing, books and greater access to media & audiences has fueled a fascination with personal branding.

You attract your tribe, find your 1,000 true fans, and you’ll the impact that’s meaningful to you.

Authenticity and filtered vulnerability are key. Showing vulnerabilities and sharing your story will attract like-minded people you can grow with. Being authentic with who you are will keep them.

But your origin story doesn’t have to be an epic “rags to riches, I overcame every obstacle” for it to resonate with an audience.

“Your origin story doesn’t have to be epic. It just needs to be meaningful.” - Don Stanley on personal brand
